Rain Barrel
Plastic Barrels. Food quality high density Poly Ethylene Barrels that were previously used to ship food overseas. Most will have scratches and dings from shipping. They are re-purposed into useful rain barrels. Upcycling is the ultimate in recycling as these would have ended up in the landfill had they not be rescued and re-purposed. They are cleaned and rinsed with rain water and PH neutral soap so you never have to worry about harsh containments getting on your plants. The screening keeps out the debris from the roof and keeps the mosquitoes out. Because the barrels have a garden hose size spigot at the bottom of the barrels you have several options on how to water your plants since a garden hose, landscape tubing or drip tubing can be attached to the barrel. If you wanted to use a watering can simply situate the barrel on a wooden pedestal or blocks. The barrels also have an overflow fitting to allow the excess water that flows from the downspout to be diverted away from the barrel and a linking hose fitting so two or more barrels can be joined together and will all fill up from just one downspout. Available in Blue, Black, and Terra-Cotta. Barrels will vary in style-see photo above of the two blue barrels-but all will hold approximately 50 to 55 gallons of water. If you have any questions about the barrels or accessories please call the office.
