Celebrating Conservation: Our 2025 Annual Meeting Recap
Our annual meeting was a wonderful evening filled with reflection, recognition, and community connection as we celebrated the impact of the Berrien County Conservation District over the past year.
Guests gathered to review highlights from our annual report, showcasing the meaningful progress we’ve made in conservation, education, and outreach throughout Berrien County. From supporting sustainable land practices to expanding environmental programs, it’s clear that our district continues to make a lasting difference thanks to the support of our partners, volunteers, and community members.
The evening was made even more special with a delicious dinner prepared by John Byrdak, followed by a beautiful and equally delicious cake from The Flour Shoppe.
Guest Speaker & District Updates
We were honored to welcome our guest speaker, Jarod Reibel, Director of Physical Resources at the Edward Lowe Foundation. His presentation, “From Litter Box to Land Conservation at Big Rock Valley,” offered a fascinating look at innovative conservation practices and land stewardship efforts.
We also held our annual board elections and are pleased to welcome our newest board member, Jame Krieger. We look forward to the insight and leadership she will bring to the district.
Honoring Dedication and Service
A highlight of the night was recognizing individuals whose dedication has helped shape our district:

We also proudly presented this year’s awards:
