Forest Trees

Tree Sale Pic 2.jpg

The deadline for ordering trees and shrubs, fruit trees, strawberries, horseradish, and asparagus has passed. If you missed the deadline, please come during pickup times as we open as a browse and buy sale.  Scroll down to see a list of available products for the browse and buy. Some quantities are very limited. We do this annual sale as a way to increase reforestation in Berrien County and as a fundraiser for our organization.

All products must be picked up, we do not ship. Pickup dates, and open browse and buy are:

Friday April 26th from 10am to 6pm and Saturday April 27th from 9am to 1pm

Location is the Berrien County Youth Fairgrounds, 9122 US Hwy 31, Berrien Springs, MI 49103.  Use Office gate across from United Federal Credit Union. Do not use the Shawnee Road Entrance, use the US Hwy 31 Entrance.

We get our seedlings from only trusted and well respected quality nurseries. We do our best to bundle and handle them in a manner to protect them so they will grow well for you. We are not a “big box” store. Once the seedlings leave here we cannot guarantee their survivability. Many factors go into a tree surviving: soil type, moisture, not getting watered enough, drought, disease, pests, deer and other critters, planted wrong (roots cannot grow),below freezing temperatures , lawnmowers, etc.!

Thank you for planting trees!

2024 Native Grasses & Wildflowers Sale

Native plants are adapted to this region’s soils and climate, and require little maintenance once established. They are a valuable food source for many insects and birds that many ornamental plants cannot provide. Native plants have strong, extensive root systems that help rainwater infiltrate deep into the soil and protect the soil from erosion.

Wildflowers and grasses can also enhance the beauty of any landscape.

This is a separate sale from trees and shrubs with a different order deadline and pickup dates. Get native grasses and beautiful flowers in quarts and flats. Dune grass is also offered this year but comes as a bare root bundle of 100 sprigs and must be planted within 4 days of pickup date.

(Dune grass can also be ordered with the tree and shrub sale for the April pickup)

Deadline to order wildflowers and native grasses is May 3. Pickup day is May 22 from 12pm-3pm at the Berrien County Youth Fairgrounds office gate entrance.
