The Clean Sweep Program is open to Michigan Farmers, Greenhouses, Pesticide Retailers and Other End Users of Pesticides, as well as Individuals.

Clean Sweep is a free and non-regulatory program to help safely dispose of banned or unusable pesticides. Funding support is provided through a grant from the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Who can participate?

Anyone in Michigan, such as home owners, farmers, greenhouses, nurseries, pesticide retailers, golf courses, etc.

What items are accepted?

The Clean Sweep collections are for out-of-date, banned, or unwanted pesticides, created in Michigan, which include all the classes of "cides" - fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, and rodenticides. Fertilizers are NOT accepted as part of Clean Sweep unless they are a component of a pesticide formulation. Waste pesticides from out of state are NOT accepted.
