Red Maple (Acer Rubrum): The Red Maple has a moderate growth rate where it can reach 120 feet but it commonly grows to 75 to 90 feet. The leaves have coarse-toothed margins that turn brilliant scarlet, orange or yellow in the fall. It has dense foliage and profuse small red flowers in early April. It prefers shade and wet to dry soils, such as prefers moderately well drained moist sites. |
